I have been operating as Asset Drafting Services Pty Ltd since 1995. Most of my experience is in the mining industry working as a structural designer, but over the years I have also gained a great deal of experience in many other areas. This work experience covers areas such as shop detailing, mechanical, piping, infrastructure, and Architecture. I actually started on the drawing board as a Cartographer working in the North Sea Oil industry then I moved on to become Structural Design Draftsman.
My career started about ten years before the advent of the PC so I have witnessed and been involved in the introduction of computer aided design/drafting (CAD) from the very beginning. The bulk of my experience has been with AutoCAD, I have been using it since Release 10 for DOS. I have always been involved in the customisation of the system and am self taught in AutoLISP. Apart from AutoCAD I am a proficient user of Solidworks, PDMS, Smartplant 3D and Microstation.
